Contains a brief summary of Kearl's military life, correspondence with parents, and dealings with the LDS Church in the military. Discusses bombing missions, flight crew, and the renown of his bomber, which survived 65 bombing raids over Europe. Includes a photograph of his bomber. Devotes large portion to the memory of his brother, Eldon Kearl, killed in action on a bombing raid. Includes a letter to his parents describing his visit to his brother's grave in Germany, an official letter (in English and Russian) allowing him to travel in Russian-controlled German territory to visit the grave, and photographs of the grave. Also includes a map showing the location of a lake in northern Canada named for Eldon Kearl, and his obituary notice.
